The latest BlackBerry smartphones are due to be unveiled today.
BlackBerry 10 (BB10), initially two handsets with a brand new software system, is set to be launched by parent company Research in Motion (RIM) at six events around the globe.
The much-delayed system is being closely watched by technology experts who want to see whether it can propel BlackBerry back into the big league alongside the likes of Apple and Samsung after a couple of troubled years.
On The BlackBerry Experience website, the company wrote: "We have taken the very essence of BlackBerry and built a completely new experience."
One analyst who has seen the new phones said the operating system (OS) is different to Apple's iOS and Google's Android.
Some experts believe that the new system, with the Z10 touch-screen phone and the X10 which features BlackBerry's trademark Qwerty keyboard, could help it win back both business customers and consumers who drifted away to other handsets when it launched the previous unpopular BlackBerry 7 system.
Others questioned whether the launch, delayed from last year, means Canadian firm RIM has left it too late to catch up.
The launch events will take place in London, New York, Toronto, Paris, Johannesburg and Dubai.
