Adele has voiced her adoration for Beyonce, describing her as “inspiring”.

Adele, 27, said she has been worshipping the US pop superstar following the release of her sixth studio album, Lemonade.

The Hello singer praised Beyonce’s "talent, beauty, grace and work ethic” in a gushing Instagram post.

Alongside a black and white image of herself hugging a Beyonce poster, she posted: “I'm not late on this I've just been speechless. Beyonce is the most inspiring person I've ever had the pleasure of worshipping. Her talent, beauty, grace and work ethic are all in a league of their own. I appreciate you so much! Thank god for Beyonce.”

It is not the first time the singer has voiced her love for Beyonce.

Last year she shut down suggestions that she had turned down the opportunity to work with the Crazy in Love hitmaker.

Speaking to Zane Lowe she said: "There's a rumor going around that I turned Beyoncé down. Which I would never be so disrespectful as to do. I'd never disrespect her like that. Obviously, like, Queen B ‘til the day I die."

Beyonce this week broke records as she became the first female star to have 12 songs in the Top 100 Billboard Chart at the same time following the release of Lemonade.

The album fuelled cheating rumours as lyrics from tracks including Sorry referenced “Becky with the good hair”.

Fans suspected the mystery woman was either Rachel Roy or Rita Ora. Both have dismissed the claims with Ora pictured wearing a "Not Becky" badge at the Met Gala and posing for a Snapchat with Beyonce at the star-studded bash.
